Are you familiar with the databases of use for your thesis and research?

Please note: classes are held in Italian.

The libraries organize courses to illustrate the use of several databases in the Digital Library.

The new calendar is published in spring and autumn. Course registration closes 2 days before the start of the course; however, participants can suggest a topic to be used as an example in the classroom up to 3 days prior to the start date. This request must be inserted in the "Suggerisci un argomento" section of the online registration form. If the subject lends itself to teaching the functions of the database in an effective way, the teachers will use it in the classroom.

Courses last about 3 hours and are held in a computer room to allow participants to perform research directly on the databases that are being presented.

The course will be cancelled if fewer than 4 participants sign up. Those who have previously registered for a course will be contacted by the librarian to arrange alternative course dates.

How to register:

  • choose a course
  • fill in the online registration form
  • follow the instructions to confirm the registration sent by e-mail (check that the message is not in the spam folder)

During the year, whenever we receive an adequate number of requests, we organize courses regarding the databases that are not included in the Course Calendar. Teaching staff and students can set a date by writing to: corsi.sba@unimi.it
